Restaurant & Banqueting Manager

Are you the new Restaurant & Banqueting Manager of an international hotel chain, who will lead 100 enthusiastic colleagues with us and assist our F&B Manager in ensuring our service level? Then this position is perfect for you.

The F&B Hospitality team consists of an F&B Manager, Restaurant & Banqueting Managers, Shift Leaders, Section Waiters, and apprentices. The person we are looking for will, together with the other Restaurant & Banqueting Manager, provide daily operational leadership to our service, banqueting, and bar staff at Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven.

Together with your colleagues, we divide tasks and monitor the progress and quality of work. You will lead the four F&B outlets, Bistro Chez Maman, The Buffet, Ozzo Food & Drinks, and the largest conference center in Southeast Brabant. You will give instructions, guidance, and act as a coach to our Shift Leaders and serving staff.

Coaching, motivating, and coordinating are the keywords of our leadership. During conferences and events, you are the operational point of contact within the organization. Together, you are responsible for daily schedules, recruitment and selection of staff, service and quality of the F&B department, process improvement, and monitoring revenue and costs. Handling compliments and complaints are also part of the role. You will use your creativity to elevate the F&B department to a higher level.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a charismatic individual who can inspire people and has a good leadership style. Hospitality is in your genes, and you can convey this to both employees and guests! Additionally, you are flexible, have a "24/7" mentality, and have a passion for and excellent knowledge of F&B and Banqueting. You are also creative, innovative, decisive, and skilled in planning and organizing.

Which qualities and experience make us happy?

• HBO level of education (completed HHS or equivalent HBO education);

• Be attentive, proactive, and hardworking!;

• Flexible and hospitable;

• Natural authority;

• Ability to maintain overview in complex situations;

• Creative, innovative, and up-to-date with new F&B trends;

• Experience as a manager in a similar F&B organization is a plus;

• Excellent command of Dutch and English in speech and writing;

• Holding a teaching certificate is a plus;

• Applying the applicable norms and values within Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven, and being able to convey them to the F&B team and other employees within the organization as needed;

• Good knowledge of HACCP regulations.
